The Story Behind the Songs
Dani is the stage name of Danielle Marie Villanueva, a native West-banker from Harvey and Marrero, Louisiana. She made Texas her home in November 2021 and hasn't looked back since. After meeting her husband and rock, Jose Villanueva, the rest speaks for itself.
On her 2nd debut CD, Dani's singing style is country all the way — 8 original songs recorded with a live band. Six songs are written by Bob Dellaposta, one by Jeff Moxey, and one by Dani herself, Sharp Dressed Man. The lyrics are classic country, focusing on love, heartbreak, and struggle, but always tinged with hope.
All in all, Dani is probably as good as any of her peers who are fortunate enough to have inked a C&W recording contract. One or two good breaks and she might just be offered one, too.
